Stunning is right! It's like Franklin Booth does Disney.

Wow! That's stunning. I love the shadonding on guy on the right sticking his head out the window. Getting highlights from both his own house-tree and the central lantern.

This piece is indicative of Porter's work and is one of my top favorites. He was a master of pen and ink.

I am currently writing his biography with the full cooperation of his children.

Over the past 10 years I have managed to amass an archive of between 700-800 examples of his Disney art. I also have examples of art he created pre-Disney. He was a fantastic artist who Walt Disney called "a one man art department."

Thanks!

I've had this image in my Porter art folder for quite awhile now and just posted it tonight on my blog, along with some more background info.

Porter truly was a master at what he did.

Cheers!

Wow...I remember seeing this as a kid and just getting lost in the linework. I'm soooo happy to see this again. I believe it was part of song book that I inherited from my parents.
