Most or all of the Blogger/Blogspot users whom I follow are distressed by the new image interface.
I would like to note that it really doesn't cost very much to lease hosting at a site where one can install pretty much any sort of PHP- or Perl-based blogging and gallery software that one might want, and doing so has the further benefit that there is far less concern about what is allowable content.
(That's the option with which I went after I got fed-up with LiveJournal.)
I like the new slideshow-like image viewer on Blogger. It seems a natural and easy way to view images. There is always the option of viewing exactly as one did before by right clicking any single image and choosing the "View link in new (or incognito) window." Then images can be viewed exactly as they always have been if that is one's preference.
Shane, I hate to think that we would lose this great blog because of this. Please reconsider. Images can, after all, be viewed in the same way as before.
I had an interesting experience.. I noted on my Blog that the new ImageViewer wasn't appearing. That is, 'til this morning. I complained about it on the Blogger Help Forum immediately. And now today, it's back to the older (comfortable and preferred) format.. I see that your Blog is back to it's older format now, too? I guess
I'm guess I'm more pissed that Blogger didn't initially make it an "opt in" or "opt out" choice for everyone, from the outset. Which seems like it would've been a better way to try and incorporate a wholesale change..
really? i have to learn something new to see your posts? I don't like that...I suspect the slide viewer takes folks away from the text...and what I write is more important than the images to me anyway, in not anyone else. Hmm...well, take me with you if you can Jim Linderman Vintage Sleaze the Blog

The art still looks stunning no matter how it appears. Great blog! Hang in there! :-)

Pappy reports the following fix: “You can go to ‘settings,’ ‘formatting,’ and scroll down. You have an option to turn off lightbox.”
